Care City has been accepted into the European Partnership Action Group for Innovation for Age Friendly Buildings, Cities and Environments (D4) following the submission of a commitment in April 2016.
The European Innovation Partnership consists of more than 100 partners with an aim to improve the quality of life of citizens, support the sustainability of health & care services and boost economic growth through large scale innovation.
The role of the Action Groups is to bring together an assembly of partners committed to working on specific issues relating to ageing, by sharing the knowledge and expertise with their peers, giving added-value to their national and local experience and identifying gaps that need to be filled at European level.
Helen Oliver Care City’s Managing Director (Interim) “This is an exciting opportunity to diffuse learning from across Care City’s healthy ageing work, but in particular having access to best practice from across Europe will support us in our work to develop Barking Riverside Healthy New Town, with its focus upon Age Friendly built environments”
